About dr OF

dr OF is the brainchild of Jonathan N. Wakeling. It is a folder of documents that was eventually published in the compendium, Sunwhere in Africa (book).

As a collection it tells a story, although each part on its own is to some extent unintelligible.

The Doctor. Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Psychology. Equality in type. The need to represent upper-case and lower-case especially within the professions. That’s where “dr OF” comes in. It affords representation where previously there was none. Like all the Deepweb1 sites it’s a missing piece of the puzzle. In my story dr OF became another way of saying Lorem ipsum. And the dr OF documents (included in the book Sunwhere in Africa) are an example of Lorem ipsum taken to the extreme.

Also dr OF provides a much needed voice with the Doctor. i.e the Medical Doctor. It also provides the typist with a voice when faced with writing any text. It provides the typist with a way to say Doctorate of Typing. So Lorem ipsum, plain vanilla text and so forth.
